Umano is continuously inspired by our funded initiatives. Because of the transformative work done by amazing organizations like Fabs, women and girls in rural Uganda are empowered to make informed and responsible choices especially about their sexuality and economic wellbeing.

Fabs Organisation is a young women-led and youth-serving nonprofit organization that focuses on the empowerment of adolescents, young people, and women. Their emphasis is on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Climate Change, Gender-Based Violence, Young Leaders’ Empowerment, Gender Equality, and Economic Empowerment.

Umano is continuously inspired by our funded initiatives. Thanks to committed and passionate mentors like the dedicated team at Anak Alam Learning House, a new generation of changemakers is emerging on the island of Sumbawa in Indonesia.

Anak Alam Learning House is based on the founding principles of People Care, Earth Care, and Fair Share. This alternative education and permaculture center is motivated by the beauty and resources that nature has to offer. Anak Alam Learning House teaches children about the importance of protecting the environment, including: reforestation, sustainable agriculture, carbon footprint reduction, ecology, and village revitalization.

Umano believes in the power of storytelling as a way to build empathy and impact change. Created by Umano, KAHANI MERI sings the story of Kaavan and the plight of millions of animals worldwide in captivity, giving a voice for those who have none.
